Comoros’ President signs instrument of acceptance of OEC Constitutive Charter

The President of the Union of Comoros, H.E. Azali Assoumani, signed the instrument of acceptance of the Constitutive Charter of the Organisation of Educational Cooperation (OEC) in the presence, of OEC’s Secretary-General-elect, H.E. Manssour Bin Mussallam, during a ceremony held at Beit-Salam, the Presidential Palace.

The Secretary-General-elect expressed his appreciation to the Comorian President for the signing of the instrument of acceptance, reiterating OEC’s determination to reinforce international solidarity-based South-South cooperation and to support and accompany the Comorian Government in its endeavours to realise the common aspirations of the Comorian people for equitable, sustainable development.

The Comorian President expressed, in turn, his Government’s resolve to make the Union of Comoros an emerging economy acting as a model of the third alternative, inclusive way of development called for in the Universal Declaration of Balanced and Inclusive Education (UDBIE).
