Djibouti becomes depositary of the Constitutive Charter of the OEC

In a meeting between the Secretary-General-elect of the Organisation of Educational Cooperation (OEC), H.E. Manssour Bin Mussallam, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Djibouti, H.E. Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, the Secretary-General-elect formally handed the Constitutive Charter of the OEC to its depositary, the Government of the Republic of Djibouti.

The Secretary-General-elect expressed his gratitude to the Minister of Foreign Affairs for the commitment of Djibouti to ensure that adequate and efficient mechanisms for the receipt of instruments of acceptance are placed at the disposal of all Founding States.

The Foreign Minister underlined Djibouti’s determination to comply with the provisions set forth in article 15 of the Constitutive Charter of the OEC that identifies the country as the Charter’s depositary until its entry into force.
