ORGANISATION OF EDUCATIONAL COOPERATION (OEC)

HIGH LEVEL REGIONAL CONSULTATIONS
Meetings for Balanced and Inclusive Education (BIE) organised by the Education Relief Foundation (ERF).

I FORUM BIE 2030
Over 85 delegates endorsed the need for the development of a Global Guide of Ethics, Principles, Policies and Practices in Balanced and Inclusive Education based upon the collated regional recommendations.

II FORUM BIE 2030
Launch of the Global Guide of Ethics, Principles, Policies and Practices in Balanced and Inclusive Education, in the presence of high-level, multi-sectoral delegates.

International Call on Balanced and Inclusive Education
The International Call counts 41 signatories, constituting 671 Ministers of Education, University Rectors and Civil Society leaders from over 110 countries, and calls for conclusion of a Universal Declaration for Balanced and Inclusive Education.

III FORUM BIE 2030
Fulfilled the call to action of II ForumBIE 2030, the III ForumBIE 2030 or International Summit on Balanced and Inclusive Education was jointly convened with the Republic of Djibouti.

Adoption of the UDBIE and Creation of the OEC
Adoption of the Universal Declaration on Balanced and Inclusive Education (UDBIE), and Establishment of the Organisation of Educational Cooperation (OEC) as the instrument to achieve the collective vision of Balanced and Inclusive Education for all.

ESTABLISHMENT OF THE PREPARATORY COMMITTEE
Preparation of the OEC programmes, budget estimate and medium-term-strategy.

OPERATIONALISATION
Preparing the executive plans for the entry into force.

ENTRY INTO FORCE
Celebrating the birth of an International Organisation conceived for the 21st Century!

GENERAL ASSEMBLY
First General Assembly of the OEC –
6-8 December Geneva, Switzerland.

OEC'S NEW HEADQUARTERS
Secretary-General,HE Manssour Bin Mussallam, signs Hosting Agreement with HE Tesfaye Hilma, State Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, establishing OEC’s international Headquarters in Addis Ababa.
