The Secretary-General-elect of the Organisation of Educational Cooperation (OEC), H.E. Manssour Bin Mussallam, and the Minister of National Education and Vocational Training, H.E. Moustapha Mahamoud, and the Minister of Higher Education and Research, H.E. Nabil Ahmed, of the Republic of Djibouti held a videoconference to discuss collective efforts to address the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Secretary-General-elect expressed OEC’s commitment to complement existing initiatives and measures introduced by Djibouti in mitigating the adverse consequences of the pandemic. The Secretary-General emphasized the Organisation’s determination to support Djibouti’ endeavors to mitigate the education consequences of Covid-19.
The Minister of National Education and Vocational Training and the Minister of Higher Education and Research expressed Djibouti commitment to ratify the Constitutive Charter of the OEC and to support the development and the implementation of the Organisation’s programmes of work. Both Ministers expressed Djibouti’s determination to maintaining close collaboration and alignment with the OEC on the response to address the Covid-19 outbreak.
Djibouti is a founding State of the Organisation.
