The Secretary-General-elect of the Organisation of Educational Cooperation (OEC), H.E. Manssour Bin Mussallam, and the Minister of Education of the Republic of Palau, H.E. Sinton Soalablai, held a videoconference to discuss the needs and priorities emerging from the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Secretary-General-elect expressed OEC’s readiness to complement existing initiatives and policies undertaken by Palau in achieving the commitments contained in the Universal Declaration of Balanced and Inclusive Education (UDBIE). The Secretary-General-elect emphasised the Organisation’s conviction in the necessity for strengthened, solidarity-based cooperation and to contribute to the realization of Palau’s aspirations for equitable sustainable development.
The Minister of Education expressed Palau’s commitment to ratify the Constitutive Charter of the OEC and to support the development and the implementation of the Organisation’s programmes of work.
Palau is a founding State of the Organisation.
