The Kingdom of Cambodia deposits instrument of acceptance of OEC Charter

2nd June 2021 – The Kingdom of Cambodia has deposited its instrument of acceptance of the Constitutive Charter of the Organisation of Educational Cooperation (OEC) with the OEC Secretary-General-elect, H.E. Sheikh Manssour Bin Mussallam.

The Secretary-General-elect, who became the Constitutive Charter’s Depositary upon its entry into force on 18 May 2021, commended the Kingdom of Cambodia on its timely acceptance of the Constitutive Charter, and reiterated the Organisation’s readiness to support endeavours and initiatives undertaken by the Kingdom of Cambodia to achieve the commitments contained within the Universal Declaration of Balanced and Inclusive Education (UDBIE) in order to contribute to the realisation of the country’s aspirations.

OEC was founded on 29 January 2020 by countries from across the Global South as an instrument of intellectual, technical and financial cooperation and solidarity between its Member States as well as its Associate Members.
